Women’s Triathlon Training Group
A program designed to develop and enhance the performance of the female athlete.

Two Program Options:
Eight Week Program: May 13th – July 6th, 2008
Fourteen Week Program: April 8st  – July 6th, 2008

Well-Fit Triathlon and Training will launch its 2008 Women’s Triathlon Training Group on Tuesday, April 8th. This unique program is based on the core understanding of the female athlete.

Training will prepare women for both sprint and international distance triathlons. The program is designed around two women’s races: the Naperville Women’s Triathlon on June 24th and the Danskin Women’s Triathlon on July 6th. The program will build in volume and intensity with strategic recovery weeks, targeting the Danskin race as the culminating event.

Training includes a daily workout program, two coached group sessions each week, and support of your triathlon goals from your team and coaches. The coached group sessions will be held Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm and Saturday mornings at 8:00am. With more than 30 years of combined coaching experience, Well-Fit coaches will provide you with the building blocks to a successful triathlon season.

What to expect:

  • Two weekly coached sessions in swimming, biking, and running/walking
  • Training manuals with workouts and training articles
  • Online access to the program.
  • Combo workouts (i.e. workouts combining bike and run or swim and bike)
  • Swim technique
  • Bike skill and handling clinic
  • Run intervals
  • Transition Clinic
  • Supportive and upbeat training group

The program will address your triathlon fitness, technique and form in all three disciplines. We want you to enjoy the triathlon lifestyle and reduce your risk of injury, keeping you Well and Fit for life.

The program is limited to 40 participants, insuring maximum attention to each athlete. Rates include all training, lectures, and clinics, training book, Well-Fit training T-shirt, water bottle, swim cap, and discounts on other Well-Fit services and programs. The first meeting will be at the UIC PE building at 901 W. Roosevelt Road in Chicago.

Details & Policies

Every athlete will get a coolmax t-shirt and swim technique DVD. All classes dates and times are tentative and may change. A 50% refund will be given if you cancel more than two weeks before the start of class. No refunds within two weeks of the class start date.
