Swim Technique I: Balance and Comfortable
Do your triathlons start when you get out of the water?
Do you feel like you swim like a rock?
Do lifeguards tell you your going the wrong way in open water swimming?
One of the biggest fears of triathletes is the swim portion of the race. A race is not won with a great swim but it can be lost with a poor swim. We can help you eliminate your anxiety about swimming while becoming balanced, streamlined, and confident with the open water swim portion. You will feel comfortable and competitive in the water. Individual attention is assured with small class size and three coaches on deck. We will help you build an efficient freestyle stroke.
Swim Technique I Class includes:
- Before and after underwater video taping for baseline and reevaluation
- Proper body positioning – maintain a horizontal and streamlined position in the water and learn correct body roll
- Head position and movement
- Hand entry and recovery
- Yes, we are going to teach the Catch and power phase of the stroke
