Lara Battalini
Lara Battalini has been
coaching endurance athletes for the past 8 years. Her love of triathlon has led her to complete
4 Ironman distance races and over 50 triathlon and marathon events combined
throughout the United States, South America and the Caribbean. During the 2007 season she completed Ironman
Lake Placid for the 2nd time and raced the Transrockies Run; a
110-mile endurance race over 5 consecutive days through the Rocky Mountains
where her and a teammate finished 4th in their division.
Lara holds a Master’s degree in Exercise Science from the University
of Illinois at Chicago.
She is a USAT Level I Triathlon Coach, Level 3 USA Cycling Instructor and
certified Spinning© Instructor. In her
career she has trained over 100 athletes to success and enjoys working with
people of all levels, especially beginners.
Motivated by her passion for teaching others and the sport
of triathlon, Lara creates coaching programs that not only fit an individual’s
fitness needs but their lifestyle and personality. As Head Coach for our Accenture 12-week
training program she believes the dynamic offered within a group training
setting can often propel athletes to their very best.
Lara was born and raised in Chicago
and works full-time as the Regional Fitness Director for Lakeshore Athletic
Clubs. She currently lives in Chicago’s
river west neighborhood with her fiancé and their American Pit bull Terrier,
Ginger who also doubles as her running partner.
