The Beginner Olympic Distance Program
The focus of this program is developing the aerobic endurance youneed for the distance, with some speed and power workouts. Weassume you just want to see if you like triathlon racing, itis your first race and you have not been training consistentlyup to now.
The Advanced Olympic Distance Program
The focus of this program is to develop your speed, power and anaerobicendurance, as well as maintain your aerobic endurance. We assumeyou have trained consistently up to now and have developed an adequateaerobic base. You have one or more years in the sport and havesome experience in training and racing. The advanced program willpeak your ability on race day.
