Which training program is best for me?
The Beginner Sprint Program–Starts May 26, 2008
The focus of this program is developing the aerobic endurance you need for the distance, with some speed and power workouts. We assume you just want to see if you like triathlon racing, it is your first race and you have not been training consistently up to now.
The Advanced Sprint Program–Starts May 26,2008
The focus of this program is to develop your speed, power and anaerobic endurance, as well as maintain your aerobic endurance. We assume you have trained consistently up to now and have developed an adequate aerobic base. You have one or more years in the sport and have some experience in training and racing. The advanced program will peak your ability on race day.
The programs are geared to the specifics of the Harbor Lights course. They provide progressive, day-to-day, detailed protocols, which will successfully take you to the finish line. The program has an extensive online text and video support, as well as:
Extensive information on:
- Understand Intensity/Heart rate for training and racing
- Swim, bike, run, and strength training
- Transition
- Race Planning and Strategy
- Nutrition
- Mental Preparation and Motivation By Catherine McCarthy PhD
- And other little things that makes a big difference.
Athletes will have unlimited email access to ask Sharone relevant questions from the beginning of the program up until one week after the race.
