16 weeks HalfIronman Program–Starts March 31, 2008
A complete endurance trainingprogram that begins (ideally) four months before race day. Thoseseeking endurance before focusing on race specific training willbenefit most from this program. Per week training ranges betweennine to sixteen hours. But the program can be easily pared down toaccommodate busy schedules, or shear exhaustion. If you do abbreviatethe training be sure to concentrate on the workout highlighted inblue. They are critical.
The BeginnerSprint Program–Starts May 26, 2008
The focus of this program is developing the aerobic endurance youneed for the distance, with some speed and power workouts. We assumeyou just want to see if you like triathlon racing, it is your firstrace and you have not been training consistently up to now.
The Advanced Sprint Program–StartsMay 26,2008
The focus of this program is to develop your speed, power and anaerobicendurance, as well as maintain your aerobic endurance. We assumeyou have trained consistently up to now and have developed an adequateaerobic base. You have one or more years in the sport and havesome experience in training and racing. The advanced program willpeak your ability on race day.
