Well-Fit Elite Team

The growth of triathlon has led to an abundance of training programs for the amateur athlete, but group training options are few and far between for top athletes. This is where the concept of the Well-Fit Elite for elite triathletes Team was born. Sharone Aharon, an internationally known coach of world-class triathletes and the founder of Chicago-based Well-Fit Triathlon and Training Company, is the head coach of the Elite Team. Aharon recently served as an assistant coach with the United States National Triathlon Team where he experienced the value of the team concept first hand.

Unofficial team training will begin in February 2011.

Requirements
In 2009 or 2010, candidates should have finished in the top 5 of their Age Groups at races with more than 500 athletes, and/or qualified for (but not necessarily competed in) USAT Age Group National Championship, the USAT Long Course National Championship, the Ironman World Championship, the Ironman 70.3 World Championship, or any other significant accomplishment.

Athletes who currently are coached by non-Well-Fit coaches or a member of another club are welcome. The Foundation will not attempt to exclude your current coach or club, and will be happy to accommodate them into your training and racing schedule. Well-Fit's primary mission is to assist the development of athletes and the growth of triathlon in the Mideast Region and beyond.

Athletes not chosen for the 2011 Well-Fit Elite team will be invited to join the Well-Fit Club Team. The Club team will be a development team focusing on building skills and techniques in triathlon. Both teams will share key races, pre and post race support including food and refreshments, tent, uniforms and camaraderie.

Although members of the team always develop great friendships and enjoy the social benefits of training and traveling to races together, the emphasis of the Elite team has been and will continue to be bringing the Chicago-area's top triathletes together for group training to push one another, support one another and learn from one another in a competitive and closely monitored atmosphere. In other words, the Well-Fit Elite Team is not a “take your schwag and see you at the race” kind of team. If you are interested in training with an advanced group of dedicated triathletes, then this team is for you!

Application Process
If you are interested in training with Chicago's best athletes and coaches at Chicago's best training facility, please submit the attached application, and any additional information that you believe qualifies you for the Well-Fit Elite team, via email to Sharone Aharon at
sharone@wellfitinc.com.

The application deadline is December 31, 2010.

The Well-Fit Foundation will respond to all applicants by January 15, 2011.

Good luck and good training!
