Marathon and half-marathon training designed for working people that care about achieving results

 

Well-Fit’s marathon and half-marathon training programs are designed to do just that: help athletes train right by providing solid training programs for the beginner, intermediate and advanced runner. If you are an athlete that takes your training and performance seriously and are committed to the training and racing process, this is the program for you. The Marathon PR program is designed by Endurance Coach Sharone Aharon and has no shortcuts or flashy silver bullet gimmicks; it is rather a complete program with everything you need to be ready for your race and to achieve your goals. 

 

The training program includes five distinct phases:

·       Base phase – in this phase we will build and/or rebuild your ability to run long and teach the body to burn fat as a source of energy.

·       General preparation phase – will focus on developing your endurance in the form of alternating general speed workouts, hill repeats and long distance workouts

·       Strength development phase – will focus on developing your muscular strength and your key workout will be hill repeats. In addition your long distance workout will peak at this phase

·       Specific preparation – will focus on developing your race pace and preparing you for the specific demands of your race

·       Taper – will focus on recovery and sharpening your race ability.

 

In addition to the training schedule athletes will receive the following:

·       Personalized run technique video analysis.

·       Periodized strength training and stretching routine that will support your run training and will add to your overall athletic conditioning.

·       Nutritional guidelines for long distance training and racing

·       Field and lab testing to create a baseline follow progress and provide accurate training zones for proper development of energy system and speed.

·       Beginner, intermediate and advanced training schedules are available

·       Optional discounted VO2 test for accurate HR training zone and understanding the athlete metabolic profile

·       Private coaching, small group and online coaching is available

 

Price –

·       Private coaching - $200 per month

·       Small Group - $90 (3 athlete minimum racing the same schedule)

·       Online only - $49.95

·       Additional service -

o   Well-Fit Fitness Membership $45/month

o   Well-Fit Triathlon Membership $90/month

o   Personal Strength and Conditioning Training $85/hour
