Coach Ted has been a USA Triathlon certified coach since 2005 and coaching with Well-Fit since 2009. He has worked with nearly one thousand triathletes over this time. He currently holds a USAT Level 2 Certification, a Youth & Junior Certification, and a USA Cycling Level 2 Certification.
His coaching philosophy is to focus on developing the fundamentals of the sport and continually setting new goals striving for self-improvement. Training must be personalized to fit the athlete’s goals and time available to train. This approach has worked well for both his beginner athletes as well as his elite athletes.
His ideal clients are people who live with passion, have big goals and communicate with him throughout the training process.
Before he became a full-time coach, he worked in finance in the trading industry. He takes these numerical analysis skills and incorporates that in how he evaluates his athlete’s performance and develops long term training strategies.
His personal interests in endurance sports include mountain bike riding, gravel riding, trail runs and off road triathlons, but he can still go pretty fast when he races a local triathlon.
Coach Ted is currently available to work with athletes both one on one and in group training programs.
