Michael Harris joined our 5 week Booster program to hopefully become a stronger and more competitive runner at the suggestion of his coach. He has done a handful of long distance endurance races but is currently training for the 2018 Chicago Marathon. His goal is to break 3:15.
Michael worked hard throughout the program and described it as “intense.” He said he pushed himself daily and learned to find the right pace. As he progressed, he focused on faster speeds and building his overall endurance. During his longer runs, he said he felt his body become more relaxed and his heart rate was lower. His pace increased each week and his recovery period was much shorter.
In his final 12 minute test, Michael dropped 23 seconds off his average mile pace in only 5 weeks time!
