Spring 70.3 Training Program

The Spring 70.3 group training program is designed for athletes looking to compete in a May/June Half Ironman. Pricing options are available for the following races:

70.3 Chattanooga – Race May 23 – 16 weeks

70.3 Hawaii – Race June 5 -18 weeks

70.3 Eagleman – Race June 14 – 19 weeks

70.3 Des Moines – Races June 20 – 20 weeks

70.3 Steelhead – Race June 28 – 21 weeks

This program has been designed by Sharone Aharon, USAT Level III coach, to meet the training requirements of athletes at any ability level.

This training group is for you whether you are:

  • an individual focused on improving your form and technique to finish the race strong
  • a beginner or an intermediate athlete with some multisport experience, prepared to take your race day performance to the next level
  • an athlete with a long-term goal of completing a full Ironman

The program will be led by Coach Ted Ramos, who has years of experience helping athletes accomplish their goals at the half-Ironman distance. He will be assisted by other Well-Fit coaches and Elite Team athletes.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

  • 25-34 weeks of an organized training plan with detailed daily workouts
  • Coaching support led by three exceptional USAT level I and II certified coaches with over 60 years of combined coaching and racing experience including the Ironman World Championship in Kona
  • Coached group training — 3 times per week
  • Unlimited communication with experienced coaches
  • Periodical swim, bike, and run testing
  • Video swim technique analysis

  • Two supported rides on the Ironman Wisconsin course in Madison (dates to be determined)
  • Teammates to help motivate and inspire your training
  • Race-day team tent and cheering stations. Amenities include a post-race massage, drinks, food and fun

  • Computrainer rental and setup option
  • Virtual Cycle Classes
  • Outdoor in-person runs and rides
  • Option to switch to in-person training

In-Person Morning Program

Swim: Sundays at 8AM at the Whitney Young HS pool, 211 S Loomis (Until pools open we will provide workouts to do on your own with access to the endless pool at Well-Fit)

Run:  Beginning May 1 – Wednesdays at 6:30 PM (Weather Permitting)

Bike: Thursdays at 6AM at Well-Fit Training Center

In- Person Evening Program

Swim: Tuesdays at 8PM at the UIC Big Pool, 901 W Roosevelt (Until pools open we will provide workouts to do on your own with access to the endless pool at Well-Fit)

Run:  Beginning May 1 – Wednesdays at 6:30 PM (Weather Permitting)

Bike: Thursdays at 7:30PM at Well-Fit Training Center

Cost

All Inclusive – $1,240 – 70.3 program + membership. New this year, we are giving non-members the option to purchase the program at the member price and add multisport membership for the length of the program. We want to ensure your absolute success by doing all your training with Well-Fit under the watchful eye of all our coaches. You save 30% on the program cost and pay no initiation fee.  Enjoy unlimited access to the computrainer and altitude rooms, endless pool, and all classes. (Note, the membership dues will be billed separately from the program fee.)
