Encouraging young athletes to embrace a healthy lifestyle through a fun and engaging cycling program
It doesn’t matter if you are already on a team or looking for a new team, this program is designed for all youth cyclists who want to get better in a fun, group environment lead by expert coaches. Join us for a twice weekly 8 week cycling training program this fall. We will work on skills both indoors and outdoors to elevate your young cyclists’ skill level.
Under the guidance of Coach Ted Ramos, a certified USA Cycling Level 2 coach, athletes will train to improve their technique and build their speed and endurance. Training will cover all facets of cycling, including pedaling skills, intervals, bike handling drills, race strategy, off the bike strengthening, and even some cyclocross. Athletes will also be provided with weekly training plans to guide them on the days the team does not meet to train together.
The athletes will be training indoors at Well-Fit Performance Center or outdoors at nearby parks. The Well-Fit Performance Center (1700 W Hubbard) is a state-of-the-art training center designed around the endurance athlete’s needs and specifically those of the cyclist. The Performance Center is equipped with 24 CompuTrainers, 6 Wattbikes, an Altitude Room, treadmills and a vast array of functional conditioning equipment.
The program will run from October 1 – November 21th, 2018 (8 weeks) with two weekly 60 minute training sessions
